Jeff H
Jeff has been tutoring for four years, working with students across the Los Angeles area. He particularly enjoys helping high school students with learning differences, finding great satisfaction in guiding young people to excel and reach their full potential. Jeff's own academic journey was shaped by personal hardships, but he managed to turn his studies around, which now fuels his belief in the potential of every student he works with.
As a 6th grader, Jeff was on the verge of failing classes. However, when his older brother earned the title of valedictorian in 8th grade and received significant praise, Jeff was inspired to follow in his footsteps. Determined to change, he improved his study habits and put in extra effort, ultimately becoming the valedictorian of his own 8th grade class.
Jeff continued his academic success in high school, graduating as valedictorian before attending Stanford University. His experiences have taught him that anyone can succeed with the right mindset, dedication, and supportive encouragement. This philosophy drives his approach to tutoring, where he consistently helps students move from struggling to thriving in their studies.
Outside of tutoring, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, especially his 8-month-old daughter. He also has a passion for independent filmmaking, where he works as a director, writer, and editor.
