As a transfer student from San Diego community colleges, Joon turned a UCLA rejection into an acceptance through determination, consistently making the Dean’s List and reapplying with a 4.0 GPA. This journey has shaped him into a coach who knows how to instill confidence in students, helping them succeed. He was also accepted into top universities like UC Berkeley by thoroughly researching the admissions process, making him well-equipped to guide aspiring applicants.

While excelling at UCLA through challenging coursework and part-time work, Joon developed strong math skills, which he is eager to share with students. Now pursuing a career in aviation, Joon applies his problem-solving abilities toward becoming a commercial pilot. Fitness is another passion, as he stays energized and focused through daily gym sessions, believing in the balance of mental and physical health.
