Taylor B
Taylor is about to begin her sixth year of teaching students who are deaf and hard of hearing. Taylor majored in Education and English at the University of Memphis. She continued her studies at Vanderbilt Medical School, focusing on educating the deaf.
In LA, she works with over 20 schools with students who are deaf or hard of hearing on self-advocacy and auditory skills. Since 2018, she has also been tutoring students from ages 5 to 18 in a wide array of content areas. She has specialized training in reading interventions such as Wilson Reading System and S.P.I.R.E to help students who struggle with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and other phonologically based disorders. Her passion is helping students who lack confidence in reading and writing learn to express themselves and connect with authors who resonate with them.
